Solcon soft starters are designed to start and stop asynchronous motors smoothly, significantly reducing starting current and grid disturbances. By controlling the start and stop, the motor and load can be precisely matched, preventing mechanical overloads such as water hammer, over-tensioning of belts and excessive torque on clutches and shafts. Solcon soft starters also work seamlessly in unstable power grids, making them suitable for use in mines, shipbuilding, water systems and industry.
