Outline of history

1990	Metronik was founded and began distribution of automation and computer control equipment (Opto 22 and Intellution iFIX).
1991	Formation of the team for system integration, first projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
1993	Beginning of cooperation with General Electric and Honeywell, expansion of business activities to the field of building automation.
1995	Subsidiary company in Croatia founded.
1999	Move into new office building, 25 full-time employees, beginning of distribution of GE Power Controls products.
2000	Formation of division for manufacturing IT, creation of R&D team Metronik Razvoj (Metronik Development).
2002	Introduction of comprehensive quality assurance system and obtainment of the quality certificate ISO 9001:2000 for complete business operations of the company.
2003	Metronik employs 50 full time employees. Subsidiary company in Serbia founded. Development of MePIS system completed.
2007	With its successful business operations, Metronik ranks among 50 best-rated Slovenian companies (Dun& Bradstreet and rating agency 1) for the second year in a row.
2008	Formation of division for technological process control. Expansion of operations to the Bulgarian market by establishing a subsidiary company Metronik Systems. 90 successful companies across four countries, 65 of them in Slovenia, are using Metronik’s solutions.
2010	Metronik celebrates 20 years of successful operations.
2012	Metronik Group employs 85 full-time employees and generates revenues of 11 million Euros. Metronik’s solutions are used by more than 100 successful companies across 7 countries.
2014	Metronik Group continues with growth for 24th year. It has more than 100 full-time employees and generates revenues of 13 million Euros. Metronik is again ranked among 50 best-rated Slovenian companies (Dun& Bradstreet and rating agency 1).
2015	Metronik expands MePIS solution-set with new solutions for production and process data management and celebrates 25 years of successful operations.
2017	With wide range of advanced automation and digitalization solutions, which Metronik successfully implemented in pharmaceutical, food, automotive and other industries and buildings, Metronik now successfully answers to challenges of digitalization and smart factories (Industry 4.0).
2018	Metronik Group generated record revenues of 19 million Euros. In addition to successful operations in South East European markets and Austria, Metronik entered markets of Russia, Ukraine and Belgium with manufacturing IT solutions.
2019	Metronik Group exceeded 20 million Euros of sales for the first time, of which more than 50% of revenues were generated in foreign markets.
2020	Metronik has been operating successfully for 30 years and has over 160 employees in three countries. Due to the coronavirus, it successfully moved large part of its marketing and sales activities to the virtual environment. Major projects completed in Germany, Austria and Denmark.
2021	Start of cooperation with new supplier – VDA, for automation and management of hotel rooms. Metronik extended its footprint to Ireland and Great Britain, and furthermore, became a standard global supplier to one of the leading global life science companies.
