To receive application licenses and the deployment package, you first need to fill out the Recipe Management for Proficy application request form (below). After completing the form, you will receive two separate licenses required for activating all relevant Recipe Management components.
In the request form two fields are required for licensing purpose:
- MAC address
- Installation path
Obtaining the MAC Address
MAC address refers to the address of the application server that will host the application. Follow these steps to obtain the MAC address:
- Open the Command Prompt.
- Enter the command ipconfig /all.
- Locate the "Physical Address" in the displayed results.

Obtaining the Installation Path
The installation path refers to the physical path of the Internet Information Services (IIS) sites, usually C:\inetpub\wwwroot\.
Follow these steps to obtain the installation path:
- Open IIS Manager.
- Locate the "Default Web Site".
- Check the physical path in the "Advanced Settings" section.

Important: Ensure that the information provided matches the actual values, as any discrepancies will prevent the activation of the application’s licenses.
